These limited releases are available at our taprooms and at the finest craft beer accounts throughout our distribution network. With our full bar, we are great for group celebrations and can host events such as a cocktail hour with light appetizers, a dinner buffet or a full four-course meal. Among the company’s more traditional-looking furniture, there is certainly eclecticism to be found with frames such as the Camino Upholstered Platform Bed. With an iron-welded frame and 100% polyester fabric upholstery, plus straps on the headboard in place, it’s a great-looking piece that is sure to garner a lot of positive attention. You may think a bed frame that’s pieced together without fasteners would result in a weaker build or that it would squeak and shift around, but The Bed proved quiet, stable, and comfortable in our tests. It’s supported by a stocky set of all-wood legs, each padded with a layer of cork, and the slats are lined with felt to reduce shifting and noise, a feature we didn’t find on any other frame we tried. That’s more than the limit for any other bed we tested, although many we found didn’t commit to a load capacity at all (and most are also very well constructed). The Bed also comes with a lifetime warranty—something that we’ve found usually indicates a quality build.

From metal to wood, if your bedroom has a particular vibe, you can certainly find a plethora of beds to accommodate it. If you’re in the market for a new frame, you want to make sure that it can accommodate your current mattress size when making your choice. One drawback with Apt2B is that there is not much range in the prices. But that being said, the prices don’t seem to be deal breakers because customers love the bed frames for their quality and long-lasting builds.

Once we put our mattress on the frame, it was the perfect size for our very weirdly-shaped bedroom. The frame was high enough off the ground that it felt like an adult bed, but still low enough to accommodate the ceiling (headboard included). I especially love the PillowBoard, which sits just behind the bed (so you could adjust it if needed without unscrewing anything). It’s a nice linen-y material that’s cozy to sit against and doubles up as a neutral backdrop for whatever color comforter or pillows you decide on.

The brand sells a few other items, including a nightstand and side table, but its core product is The Bed, a platform bed frame that consists of a wooden base and slats to support a mattress. During my sailing, I chose to catch two different films that were still in theaters. Watching the movies later in the evening ensured that I did not miss any of the fun and events that happened each night onboard. In addition to theater Broadway-style shows, Disney also has some other forms of unique entertainment, such as fireworks at sea!
Funnel Vision
Our turn in Animator's Palate happened on the final night of our cruise, so the entire wait staff came out for a round of well-deserved applause with Mickey, and it was honestly pretty emotional. All original four Disney ships have a version of Animator's Palate, though it varies a bit on each ship. Instead, it's quite similar in many ways to all its fleetmates except Disney Wish, which is really a part of the next generation of Disney ships rather than a continuation of the look and feel of the first four.
It’s a Small World Nursery
Throughout the day, Disney classics and new releases -- ranging from "Cinderella" to "Frozen" -- are played on the big screen. The Buena Vista Theatre is adjacent to the kids' clubs, on Deck 5 midship. On Disney Magic’s Marvel at Sea Days, the theater is all Avengers, all the time.
Staterooms
Additionally, sailings from San Diego to Baja California or eastbound to Galveston (and vice versa) through the Panama Canal are also available. Disney Magic no longer offers Mediterranean and Bermuda cruises; those are now available onboard sister ship Disney Dream. Beyond its intimate feel, a cruise on Disney Magic is all about attention to detail. While prices are often at a premium and upsells abound, you'll likely find it's money well spent if Disney is part of your family's DNA. It would also be a real plus if Disney Magic integrated a magical scavenger hunt type of activity that you see on other Disney ships. This would layer in one more thing for the kids to do on a sea day or between other activities.
Shows are aligned with dinner seatings
Here, you get the unique experience of attending Rapunzel's birthday celebration. The crew member, Tirso Neri, who was working aboard the Disney Dream, was found by law enforcement to have sexually explicated photos and videos of minors on two different phones in his possession. According to reports from USA Today, an affidavit signed by a Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent stated that the photos and videos included both children and teenagers.
However, adult guests can purchase a beer or wine drink package should they choose to, though neither is all-inclusive. Passengers can save up to 25% off when they purchase a wine or beer package. The beer package onboard also comes with a Disney Cruise Line-branded beer stein mug. Cruisers can find a club onboard where they can meet other cruisers their age and engage in age-appropriate activities with trained crew members. I have found that sailing with Disney Cruise Line involves a bit more planning a preparation than other cruise voyages.
One major difference between Disney Cruise dining and other cruise lines is that most non-alcoholic drinks are included at no additional cost — no need to purchase a separate drink package! Located near the pool, this soda station offers unlimited refills all day long. Like all Disney Cruise Ships, the Disney Magic offers rotational dining during the nightly dinner service. This Disney Cruise Line innovation pre-schedules you to visit a different restaurant on each night of the cruise. You’ll have the same waitstaff each night, so they’ll get to know you and your food preferences.
Shipyard (Ship’s Birthplace)
The ever first Disney ship, Magic was launched in 1998 to serve the special preferences of a new generation Disney package vacation fun fans. It's a Small World Nursery (Deck 5, midship) takes babies as young as 3 months and children up to 3 years of age. The nursery is stocked with baby swings, walkers, books, toys, games and a TV, as well as a quiet area with cribs. There is a per-hour charge for this service, but it allows parents time to be on their own for dinner in Palo or a trip to the spa, for example. You can sign up your child in person onboard; spots are assigned on a first-come-, first-served basis on embarkation day.
On Marvel sailings, this area is transformed into a venue for Avengers-themed gear. There are two theaters on Disney Magic -- one reserved for the ship's magical production shows and the other for Disney movies, which are played multiple times throughout the cruise. Other events include a movie marathon, a costume night, and special stunt show that features fireworks and incredible stunts on the ship deck. On select 7-day cruises, you'll step into the atrium and find it has been converted into a winter wonderland, where you will meet all sorts of characters from Arendelle. This is the start of a day of Frozen-themed activities (scavenger hunt, dinner, evening show, etc).

One of our favorite parts of any Disney Cruise is getting to meet some of our favorite characters. I tend to spend a lot of time visiting the Beverage Station on Deck 9.
There, the Avengers, the world's most powerful superheroes, are trained and prepared for special missions. The shows typically run about 50 minutes to give guests time to get to dinner and other activities. Tangled the Musical is an abbreviated version of animated film and the show’s designers have done a fantastic job of telling the full story in the time allotted without making the guests feel cheated. Kids must be three and older and potty trained to be allowed in the pools on the Disney Magic.
The overall aesthetic blends vintage ocean sailing with modern appeal, plus a hefty helping of Disney magic. "It's A Small World" ship nursery (babies 3 months to 3 years of age) is at an additional cost of $6 per hour ($5 for the 2nd child). An online service allows guests to order from over 1,000 "Babies Travel Lite" products in advance of their sailing (delivered to their cabin). All Disney children counselors are college educated, well experienced and attentive.
